Running sport at a school
What to do after your school's page is approved, and how to hand it over to the school.
After your claim is approved
ArenOS checks every school claim, usually within two working days. Once it's approved, your school has its own organization on ArenOS, with you as its owner. You'll get an email, and the school's public page shows Manage it in your dashboard while you're signed in.
Open the dashboard and you'll find Getting started as a school at the top of Home. It ticks off each step as you finish it.
1. Add your logo and contact details
Go to Settings and add the school's logo, email and phone number. Parents see them on the school page and on every event you publish.
2. Add your PE teachers and coaches
Go to Settings › Staff › Add staff and add colleagues by mobile number or email.
- Manager: runs everything except billing.
- Registration helper: registrations, check-in and players.
- Scheduling helper: fixtures, teams and grounds.
- Scorekeeper: enters scores only.
See Adding managers and staff members.
3. Create your first event
Click New and choose what you're running:
- Sports day or athletics meet: a meet with events, heats, results and certificates.
- Inter-house or inter-school matches: a schedule with fixtures and standings.
- Trials, camps or coaching: an activity that parents register for, with payment if there's a fee.
Children's results stay private. Public pages count them but never name them.
4. Share your school page
Your school page lists upcoming events and recent results by itself. Share its link in the parents' WhatsApp group or on the school website.
Setting this up for a school
If you're setting up the page for a school, for example as a coach or a parent volunteer, hand it over when the school is ready:
- Add the school's sports coordinator under Settings › Staff › Add staff.
- Click Hand over next to their name. They become the owner, and you leave the organization.
Payout bank details stay with the organization, so the new owner should check Settings › Payments.
