ArenOS

Getting started with Messaging

Send direct messages and announcements to players on WhatsApp, email, and the ArenOS inbox.

Two ways to message

  • Announcements go to a whole audience: everyone on a schedule, everyone registered for an activity, active members, or all players. They arrive on WhatsApp (Pro and above), email, and the ArenOS inbox.
  • Direct messages are one-to-one threads with a player. They reply from the app or by email and you see the thread in Messages.

Send an announcement

Go to Dashboard › Messages › New announcement. Pick the audience, write the message, and add a link or attachment. Choose Preview to see it as a player would, Send test to send it to yourself, then Send now or Schedule for a later time.

Templates

Save any announcement as a template. Rain delay, match reminder, and payment reminder templates come built in. Templates can use fields such as first name, team, and next match.

Recipients per month

Each plan includes a number of message recipients per month: 50 on Plus, 500 on Pro, and 5,000 on Max. Free organizations can message players inside the app and by email through the schedule and registration pages. One announcement to 120 players counts as 120 recipients.

Automatic messages

ArenOS sends receipts, registration confirmations, membership reminders, booking reminders, and schedule change alerts on its own. Turn any of these off in Settings › General › Notifications.

Who can send?

Owners and managers. Scheduling helpers can send schedule change alerts for their schedules.
