Scheduler FAQ
Quick answers about round robin, elimination, group play, and playoffs.
How many teams can a schedule have?
Up to 64 teams per schedule on Free, 128 on Plus, and 1,000 on Pro and Max. Matches per schedule are capped at 2,500 on Free, 5,000 on Plus, and 10,000 on Pro and Max.
A team dropped out. What now?
Open Edit › Rosters and remove the team. Unplayed matches against that team are removed and the round robin rebalances. Played matches stay in the standings. If you would rather keep the fixtures, rename the team to "Bye".
An extra team showed up on match day.
Add the team from Edit › Rosters and regenerate. Scores already entered are kept where the fixture still exists.
Can a team play twice in a day?
Yes. Set Daily matches per ground to more than one, or reduce rest between matches in Dates and times. Back-to-back matches are preferred when rest is set to zero.
How do groups and playoffs work together?
Put teams into groups in Edit › Groups. Each group has its own standings. When group play ends, choose Auto-seed playoffs and ArenOS seeds the bracket from group positions (A1 vs B2, and so on). You can edit seeds before publishing.
What are "if necessary" matches?
Double and triple elimination brackets include a final that is only played if the team from the losers' bracket beats the undefeated team. ArenOS shows these as "if necessary" and hides them once the result makes them moot.
Which standings tie-breakers are used?
Points, then head-to-head, then score difference (net run rate for cricket, set and point difference for racquet sports), then matches won. You can change the order in Edit › Match format.
How do I move all matches by a week?
Open any match on the date, choose Edit › Move all matches this day, pick the new date, and tick also shift later dates to slide the rest of the season.
Can players see the schedule without an account?
Yes. The public link works for anyone. Players who sign in also get their next match on the ArenOS Home tab and reminders on WhatsApp or email.
Can I print the schedule?
Print and PDF downloads are on Plus and above. The public page also prints cleanly from the browser.
